Our in house jeweler, Shawn Bethel is known for his ability to create beautiful jewelry. When given the chance, he loves to be part of creating something special for customers. He began by being asked by friends from Botetourt, Justin & Marie Powell. Justin was looking for a unique diamond ring for his beautiful bride to be, Marie. He had seen something he favored, but had some changes and he knew exactly who would be perfect for the job. After contacting Shawn, the two of them sat down and came up with the unique ring Justin was looking for. The ring turned out amazing and both Justin and Marie love it.
Shawn created this necklace for Kimberly Gatrell, of North Carolina. Kimberly is one of our customers that we have known for years. Kimberly loves unique items that she'll never see anyone else have. When it came to a gift for her mother, she wanted to create a unique mothers necklace. The necklace is a collaborative design of Kimberly and Shawn. He constructed the necklace out of Sterling Silver and 14 karat yellow gold and it features a birthstone for each member of the family. Kimberly recently gave birth to twins and Shawn was able to add to the to the necklace.
This ring was created for a customer in Lynchburg. She has wanted a tanzanite and diamond ring for over 20 years, but she didn't want just any tanzanite and diamond ring. She was in the market for a knock-out piece! We had our gemstone dealer send in a selection of beautiful colored tanzanites ranging in many colors and sizes. She picked a emerald cut tanzanite that weighs in at 5 carats and from there she knew exactly what style she wanted. Shawn created the ring in 18 karat white gold and added three round brilliant diamonds to each side of the tanzanite. Needless to say, she got exactly what she wanted... a GORGEOUS knockout ring that she is very proud to wear!
